Two down, two to go

Boy, is Thorim whipped.  Preferring to listen to Sif over a large group of adventurers who've helped him regain his status, Thorim needed some serious sense knocked into him.  We opted to do exactly that, and Sif was not at all pleased about it.  (spoiler alert: it's not really her - the real Sif probably would have been much more understanding!)

Being a titan and all, Thorim makes for a pretty formidable foe in and of himself, and dealing with that frosty meddling wench at the same time makes it all the more challenging, but the Muffins prevailed once again (in true form, as you can see below) and shattered the illusion, freeing Thorim from Yogg-Saron's control.  Freya, you'd better knock on wood, because we're coming for you next.

Thorim Down!

The Muffins left XT-002 Deconstructor heartbroken and alone Wednesday night in their wake of destruction. He cried and screamed and pleaded but it did not shake our resolve. What can we say, we're players.

Flame leviathan. All four towers. Devastated, bombarded, nuked, and kicked all over the place from orbit, the Muffins rolled in and laid down the law. If these little toys are the best Mimiron's got, we might just have to go pressing some buttons soon...

The stars (and moonbeams) finally aligned, and with nary a second to spare, the Makers of Muffins defeated the cold-as-ice Hodir, achieving their first hard mode kill of an Ulduar Keeper. Next time, we hope the cache is truly rare, as this one seemed a bit more medium-well.

Although Steelbreaker still eludes capture from our hungry pokémuffins, we successfully defeated Runemaster Molgeim in his evolved form, not coincidentally, shortly after the missing-in-action Ahhz telephoned in a tip from his new strategy for surviving the third phase.

A good time was had by all, and the long but exciting RP event that followed made all our bakers, dough mixers, and oven cleaners hungry for our future of hard modes and Algalon.  Our appetites whetted and Rasha's quest log four entries fuller, we now turn our attention squarely toward more hard modes.

On Sunday night, the Muffins baked up a tasty treat for Yogg-Saron, and then proceeded to jam it down his evil throat. To the victor went the spoils, despite Ekkoe no longer being with us. We look forward to meeting you again, Yoggy, in hard mode. Until then...
